Etnus LLC, maker of the world’s most scalable multi-process debugger on Linux, UNIX and MAC OS X, announced the recent appointment of Jim Chafel as vice president of business development and Adam Schauer, CPA, as vice president of finance/controller. Both report to Rich Collier, Etnus president and chief executive officer. Mr. Chafel brings to Etnus over twenty years of high tech experience, including key roles in sales operations, marketing, service, business development and alliances. Prior to joining Etnus, he was the Director of Business Development and Operations for EMC’s Software group, where he was responsible for developing strategic OEM initiatives. Prior to joining EMC, he held various senior sales, marketing and services management positions at Digital Equipment Corporation. Chafel holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Dayton and a Master of Arts in Psychology from the State University College of New York. “We are excited to bring aboard an executive of Jim’s caliber”, said Collier. Under his leadership, Etnus will develop and execute on a comprehensive channel strategy that includes an expanded reseller portfolio as well as alliances with market leaders supporting software development productivity.” Mr. Schauer has ample experience as a controller in software companies including Amicas, Applix, Servicesoft, Internet Business Advantages, Broadbase, and Kana Software. At Applix, he oversaw all accounting, SEC reporting, tax, and treasury functions. At Servicesoft, he managed financial reporting, monthly closing, tax reporting, and the accounting function of its foreign subsidiaries.
