Visualization Provides Resources for Improved Data Interaction

InterSense will deliver their wireless, wide-area tracking system, the IS-900, to support multiple orders from Christie. Visualization solutions from Christie have been selected to support the first Virtual Reality laboratory in Vietnam at the Centre for Advanced Media Technology (CAMTech); the Louisiana Immersive Technologies Enterprise (LITE), a major new research facility located in Lafayette, Louisiana that will consist of multiple advanced visualization systems; and a tracked immersive multi-wall display system for an oil & gas client in Mexico. CAMTech is part of an initiative undertaken by the Vietnamese government to develop the country's science, technology, agriculture and biology sectors. CAMTech is equipped with the most advanced VR technology and the laboratory is poised to become a state-of-the-art platform for local VR research and teaching. LITE is a joint effort of the State of Louisiana, the Lafayette Economic Development Authority (LEDA), and the University at Lafayette. The center, featuring a highly integrated concentration of supercomputer-class servers and interactive 3D visualization systems, will give local businesses and global organizations unprecedented access to today's leading manufacturing and research technologies. The energy client, based in Mexico, requires a multi-walled, stereoscopic display system to support oil exploration and well field drill planning. An IS-900 Wireless tracking system was chosen to support the application. Christie and InterSense are set to complete the system integration during the first quarter of this year.
