BEA Systems to Host Webinar Highlighting Cox Communication's Customer Portal
BEA Systems, a world leader in enterprise infrastructure software, in collaboration with Interwoven, Hyperion and Cox Communications, is scheduled to host a webinar on January 20, 2005, highlighting how Cox Communications has utilized portal technology to help improve customer service. Experts from BEA and Cox Communications are scheduled to discuss the increased throughput Cox received by developing a customer portal built on BEA WebLogic Portal(TM) and Interwoven TeamSite that supports its 5 million visitors and 90 million page views per month. The webinar will also detail how, through this portal deployment, Cox can better serve its customers by delivering high-demand content, such as news and weather, and providing access to billing and customer service, web directory and yellow pages, and more. The webinar is the latest in BEA's "Get in Front; Stay in Front" educational webinar series designed to help IT management stay ahead of business needs. Attendees of the webinar can learn: -- Why Cox expects exponential improvement in performance as it reduces the number of servers and attendant costs while increasing uptime -- How Cox has improved customer retention and up-sell opportunities while reducing time to market -- How Interwoven, provider of enterprise content management solutions, manages content and information in Cox's BEA-powered portal infrastructure, and provides high-demand content such as top stories, local news and weather -- How to integrate existing applications with BEA's flexible application infrastructure, Hyperion's business intelligence capabilities and Interwoven's collaboration and content management suite.
