FedEx Selects Opsware To Automate Global Data Center Operations
Opsware Inc, a provider of IT automation and utility computing software, announced that FedEx Corporate Services Inc, a subsidiary of FedEx Corp has selected the Opsware System. One of the key strategic elements for IT in 2004 is speed to market. As part of this strategy, FedEx selected the Opsware System to help the company optimize IT resource allocation to meet key business objectives. FedEx will use the Opsware System to establish a consistent baseline across their server and application infrastructure, an important foundation for realizing speed and future utility computing initiatives. "The Opsware System is an IT automation solution that is proven to work in large, distributed environments and can integrate with our existing infrastructure."
