SGI and Deep Video Imaging Tackle the Most Challenging Visualization Problems
HAMILTON, New Zealand -- Deep Video Imaging, creator and developer of Multi-Layer Displays (MLD(TM)), today announced the formation of a reseller alliance with SGI, the world's leading supplier of advanced data management solutions for high-performance computing and visualization environments. The alliance will team MLD(TM) technology for the first time with SGI's unparalleled high-performance computing ability, together forming the world's best multi-layer visualization solutions. The reseller alliance, which was evidenced by the signing of an agreement in March, makes Multi-Layer Display technology available for all SGI(R) systems, giving unprecedented accuracy, interactivity, and performance, which equips users with an advanced, yet intuitive tool to de-clutter complex information, and increase productivity and "survivability" through reduced detection and reaction times. "Teaming high performance computing and visualization expertise from SGI with Deep Video's amazing and intuitive display technology makes excellent use of both companies' primary strengths," said Terry Oberdank, Vice President Technology Solutions, of SGI. Under the agreement, the bundled revolutionary technologies will be actively promoted by SGI as an "SGI Technology Solution." The delivery of multi-layer visualization solutions will assist customers working in stressful, time-critical environments, with complex visualization needs. In addition, the MLD(TM) will also be offered as a stand-alone monitor by SGI. "To have SGI, as the world leader in visualization and complex data management, embrace MLD(TM) technology in this way, is a milestone, and a significant endorsement of MLD(TM)," commented David Hancock, President and CEO of Deep Video Imaging. "The Multi-Layer Visualization Solution is also a new and exciting opportunity for our entire community of SGI developers," said Anneke Dempsey, Director of Global Alliances, SGI. "Our very important base of developers can take advantage of the MLD(TM) display environment to provide added value for our joint customers." The new agreement covers the full range of MLD(TM) monitors, and enables the SGI sales team to work with the support of Deep Video Imaging MLD(TM) experts. The reseller agreement expands the existing relationship between the two companies, broadening its scope across selected SGI vertical markets. "It makes sense for Deep Video Imaging and SGI to work together to solve the most complex data visualization problems. We're pleased to be expanding our reseller alliance channel by adding SGI as a valued partner," said Steve Smith, Business Development Manager, North America, for Deep Video Imaging.
