BBVA selects Bull to increase information technology resources

Bull has supplied BBVA with a flexible and modular solution that will enable the bank to make progress in High-Performance Computing, or HPC, and protect their investment.

BBVA needed to increase its information technology resources supporting its financial market activities.

Bull's solution consists of a bullx cluster delivering 41 Teraflops of power. BBVA has trebled its computing resources and, as a result, will reduce the time taken to run mathematical modeling scenarios by up to three times, enabling it to manage financial risks better and giving it a competitive advantage when it comes to getting the best price for complex financial products, the company said.
