CALL FOR PAPERS Workshop on Parallel and Distributed Real-Time Systems

The International Workshop on Parallel and Distributed Real-Time Systems is a forum for the presentation and discussion of approaches, research findings, and experiences in the domain of large-scale parallel and distributed real-time systems. Of interest are both the research and development of relevant technologies as well as the applications built using such technologies. Topics of interest include but are not limited to: ---Resource Management ---Operating Systems and Middleware ---Programming Environments ---Algorithms and Applications ---Architectures ---Specification, Modeling, and Analysis ---Networking and Communications KEYNOTE ADDRESSES ================= Inter-Vehicle Real-time Communication and Networking, Dr. Ralf G. Herrtwich, Director Telematics Research, DaimlerChrysler. Real-time Flight Software Systems of Today and Tomorrow, Elaine Shell, NASA, Goddard Space Flight Center, Flight Software Branch. INVITED TUTORIAL ================ Design and analysis of real-time software: state of the present, state of the future by Roosmalen, O.S. van Eindhoven University of Technology CHALLENGE PROBLEM ================= Michael Masters, Chief Scientist of the High Performance Distributed Computing Program of the US Navy, has provided a challenge problem on the topic "System Certification for Real-time Systems that Employ Dynamic Resource Management." Proposed solutions to the challenge problem are solicited. A special session will be devoted to discussing the problem and the proposed solutions. An award will be given for the best solution. See http://wpdrts.cs.ohiou.edu/challenge.html for details. INVITED PAPER SESSION ===================== Real-Time and Embedded Systems: Beyond Current Assumptions, Organized by Chris Gill (Washington University) and Doug Niehaus (University of Kansas). PAPER SUBMISSION ================ Papers are not to exceed 15 pages, single-spaced (11 Pt. font). Please number each page. Include an abstract, 5-10 keywords, and the technical areas most relevant to your paper. The workshop proceedings will be published by IEEE CS press and selected papers will be published in "The Journal of Systems and Software".
