Battelle/Progress Forge Team Wins Reconfigurable Technology Contract

The Air Force Research Labs Munitions Directorate has awarded a technology-development contract to a team led by Battelle on which Progress Forge provides key support in reconfigurable software and hardware development. The project is for a Reconfigurable Munitions Platform Interface Technology (RMPIT). RMPIT provides a reconfigurable system for use on carriage platforms, dispensers and munitions. The benefits of the system will be lower integration costs, faster fielding of new systems, in field upgrading of systems and longer system life. Tyler Reed, Progress Forge CEO, said, “We’re pleased to team with Battelle on this exciting new project that will bring the real benefits of reconfigurable technology to a core defense market.” Jeffrey Melaragno, Director of Air Force market development for Battelle’s Electronics and Avionics Systems, said, “Progress Forge was instrumental in preparing the winning proposal for this project.
