Opticore Opus Realizer for Solaris Extends High-End Visualization Capabilities

SAN ANTONIO, TX -- Building on their joint presence in the visualization and graphics markets, Opticore and Sun Microsystems (Nasdaq: SUNW) today announced that Opticore Opus Realizer 1.4, a leading real-time visualization software solution, will be available on the Solaris(TM) Operating Environment (OE), Sun's award-winning platform for network servers and workstations. Opticore Opus Realizer 1.4 will be available on a range of Sun-based platforms, from workstation-based Personal Visualization Systems to Sun's new higher-end, server-based Workgroup Visualization Systems. Both platforms will be demonstrated in Sun's booth at the Siggraph 2002 Conference in San Antonio, Texas, this week. Opticore Opus Realizer software enables designers in industries including automotive manufacturing, wireless telecommunications and aerospace engineering to speed design times, increase collaboration and lower costs. For example, the Opticore and Sun platform can help reduce the number of costly physical prototypes that are typically required during a design process.
