Ethernet Alliance Launches Internship Program

Internship program designed as a networking portal for academic and industry members of the Ethernet Alliance: The Ethernet Alliance today announced the formation of its internship program, as part of the Ethernet Alliance University Program (EAUP). The program facilitates internship opportunities by connecting Ethernet Alliance corporate members with currently-enrolled students of EAUP academic members. As part of the internship program, the Ethernet Alliance accepts student resumes and makes them available to corporate members via its online database. Corporate members can view and select resumes that best match their internship job opportunities. The internship program is available to Ethernet Alliance members at no cost. "The Ethernet Alliance internship program is a great opportunity for university students to begin developing key relationships with industry professionals, and for our corporate members to access the best and brightest students from leading universities," said Brad Booth, chairman of the board and EAUP co-chair, Ethernet Alliance. "As someone who graduated from a cooperative engineering program, I know that today's university students will have a direct influence on helping shape Ethernet technologies in the years to come." "The internship program is the perfect venue for students who are interested in pursuing a career in engineering and who would like to start networking with many of today's leading industry companies that participate in the IEEE 802 Ethernet ecosystem," said Stephen Garrison, vice president of marketing, Force10 Networks. "Force10 is proud to join the Ethernet Alliance internship program and looks forward to working with tomorrow's leaders."
