MSC.Software Names Mark Stevens to Board

MSC.Software Corp., the leading global provider of virtual product development (VPD) products including simulation software and services, today announced that Mark Stevens has joined the Company's board of directors. Mr. Stevens currently serves as group executive, Commercial Strategy and Risk, for the Fluor Corporation. Prior to assuming his current position in October 2003, Mr. Stevens served as the group president, Global Services, with responsibility for Fluor's operations and maintenance business, equipment rental business and electric power business line. Mr. Stevens has also served as the group president responsible for Fluor Corporation's Sales, Marketing and Strategic Planning and as the president of Energy and Chemicals for Fluor Daniel, the company's largest engineering and construction unit. His more than 29 years of tenure with Fluor has included many diverse leadership positions, including president of Central American Operations, vice president of Latin America Operations and vice president of Operations for the Gas Turbine business unit. "Adding Mark's outstanding business and leadership experience to MSC.Software's board of directors is a great accomplishment," said Frank Perna, chairman and chief executive officer, MSC.Software. "Mark delivers a tremendous amount of public company experience, and his engineering background provides a strong foundation for his future contributions to our Board. His qualifications in operations and management will be a welcome asset to support the execution of our business strategy." Mr. Stevens will be replacing Larry Barels, who ended his seven-year term on the board of directors effective July 31, 2004 in order to give more attention to other business endeavors.
