Oracle Announces Keynote Program for Oracle AppsWorld London 2003

READING, England -- Oracle Corporation, the world's largest enterprise software company, today announced the keynote series for its upcoming Oracle AppsWorld conference, to be held June 23-26, 2003, at the ExCeL Conference Centre in London, UK. The program will include addresses by industry leaders, strategic partners and Oracle's leading visionaries. The keynote series will tackle some of the industry's most prevalent issues and concerns, offering attendees insight on strategy and direction on ways to maximize and extend Oracle applications to reduce costs, increase efficiencies and provide better information. The keynote series includes: -- Sergio Giacoletto, Executive Vice President, Oracle Europe Middle East and Africa (EMEA), will open the show on Tuesday, June 24th with a welcome address. -- Douglas Busch, Vice President and Chief Information Officer, Intel Corporation, will explain how he has increased productivity, lowered costs and provided Intel with a competitive edge in this down market by investing in the mobile workforce and an integrated enterprise. -- Larry Ellison, Oracle Chairman and CEO, will deliver a live keynote on Tuesday, June 24th. -- Garry Veale, EMEA Vice President, Business & Partner Development, EMC Corporation, will outline EMC's vision for the future of information storage management. -- Ron Wohl, executive vice president, Oracle Applications Development, will provide an update on the current status and direction of the Oracle E-Business Suite. -- Paul Spence, CEO Cap Gemini Ernst & Young, UK and Ireland; Stephen Gill, Vice President & Managing Director, HP Ltd, UK and Ireland; and Stephen Lyle, Vice President, Global Alliance, Hewlett-Packard will engage in a meeting of minds to discuss how innovation can reduce total cost of ownership, the benefits of an adaptive infrastructure and current and future technology trends. -- Greg Papadopoulos, Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer, Sun Microsystems, Inc., will look at trends and advances in network computing architecture and technology, and how these can be applied to drive cost and complexity from IT infrastructure for maximum performance and return on investment. -- Cliff Godwin, Senior Vice President, Applications Technology, Oracle Corporation, will deliver a technology update, including how to implement e-business processes, upgrading to the Oracle E-Business Suite version 11i and consolidation of data instances to gain competitive advantage.
