ADVA Optical Networking has announced that Syringa Networks, an Idaho-based regional provider of high-speed fiber optic services, has selected the ADVA FSP 3000 to provide connectivity throughout its Idaho footprint. Spanning more than 2,500 miles of fiber, Syringa Networks provides high-speed broadband access to southern Idaho and northern Utah businesses.
“We’re excited to partner with ADVA Optical Networking to offer flexible data transport solutions to Idaho businesses,” said Greg Lowe, President and CEO of Syringa Networks. “Cost effective access to data-intensive services helps rural communities retain local businesses, attract new companies and create jobs in their communities.”
Founded in 2002 by 12 rural telephone companies, Syringa Networks’ key focus has always been on the success of the communities it serves. By using the ADVA FSP 3000 as the cornerstone of its infrastructure, Syringa Networks is able to scale to meet any network demand, whether from private enterprise customers or the public sector.
“This network means much more than just reliability, availability and increased bandwidth,” said John Scherzinger, senior vice president of sales in North America. “With always-on access to high-bandwidth applications, this network will have an enormous impact on businesses. Telemedicine, distance learning and video conferencing are just the beginning. This connectivity will expand economic capacity and commerce throughout southern Idaho.”
The ADVA FSP 3000 is a scalable Wavelength Division Multiplexing (WDM) system specifically designed for service providers and large enterprises that require a flexible, cost-effective system that will multiplex, transport, and protect high-speed data, storage, voice and video applications. The ADVA FSP 3000’s varied features enable Syringa Networks to dynamically meet its business customers’ varied requirements.
A trusted partner since 2004, ADVA Optical Networking has collaborated with Syringa Networks throughout the evolution of its network, supporting the company and its community outreach program along the way. Syringa Networks’ involvement in local communities goes beyond the network, and ADVA Optical Networking continuously supports the company’s outreach program by donating to its charity events and the company’s beneficiary, Computers for Kids.
