N-able Technologies has announced an OEM agreement with CA Technologies. Under the agreement, N-able will initially market and sell CA's Windows-based ARCserve D2D solution to its more than 2,000 MSPs worldwide, bundling the advanced disk-to-disk remote backup technology with its flagship N-central remote network and systems management (NSM) platform.
"The N-central/CA ARCserve D2D bundle allows our mutual MSP partners to cost-effectively deliver comprehensive and highly robust remote management services to their customers," says J.P. Jauvin, chief operating officer, N-able Technologies. "Simultaneously, it drives down IT ownership costs while helping to ensure the reliability, performance and security of critical business applications."
In early 2011, N-able plans to introduce a fully integrated backup and offsite replication tool called Remote Backup Manager for N-central based on CA ARCserve D2D and CA ARCserve Replication.
"Businesses of all types are constantly looking for better ways to manage their increasing data protection challenges," says Adam Famularo, general manager of CA Technologies Recovery Management and Data Modeling Customer Solutions Unit. "By leveraging the combined solutions of CA Technologies and N-able, MSPs will be better able to help their customers meet these challenges -- helping them to grow market share, revenue and profits."
N-able Offering Unlimited, No-Charge Use of Bundle Until 2011 To expedite adoption of the bundle, N-able is extending a special offer to MSP partners around the globe. The offer provides CA ARCserve D2D technology at absolutely no charge -- between October 1 and December 31, 2010 -- to any MSP or IT department that downloads the N-central 30-day free trial.
"With this special offer, we're incenting MSPs to discover for themselves the exceptional value that N-able's N-central 7.0 and CA ARCserve D2D deliver as a bundled solution," says Jauvin. "The highly automated, high-performance disk-to-disk backup that CA Technologies has developed delivers compelling economics for MSPs and is becoming a must-have for those partners that want to capture the expanding market for on-demand, turnkey IT management."
CA to Present at Upcoming N-able Partner Summit The N-able Partner Summit takes place October 20-22 in Scottsdale, Arizona. Delivering vital insight and information for managed services success, the annual Summit represents one of the premier events in the MSP industry. On October 21, CA Technologies Chief Development Officer Don Kleinschnitz will discuss changing the paradigm of traditional backup to provide more flexibility and speed for restore operations in a presentation entitled "In Recovery, Simpler is Better."
"Together with CA we are bringing to market a timely and compelling solution that our partners have been asking for," concludes Jauvin. "It's extremely rewarding to see our companies work together to further advance the success of the IT channel by delivering solutions designed to enable 100 percent IT coverage."
