Leading European Aerospace Company Adopts MSC.Linux

SANTA ANA, Calif.-- MSC.Software Corp. (NYSE:MNS) , the leading global provider of virtual product development (VPD) technologies including simulation software, services and systems, today announced that Eurocopter Germany, the leading provider of helicopters for civil and defense purposes and a provider of Airbus components, has invested euro 148.000 ($159,000 USD) in two MSC.Linux Clusters from MSC.Software and is planning to introduce MSC.Linux as their standard CAE platform in Germany. In addition, Eurocopter has also purchased an MSC.Software VPD Campus Licensing System giving them access to the entire MSC.Software software portfolio on a pay-for-use basis. Under this new agreement, Eurocopter is expanding this long-standing relationship to include MSC.Linux as their preferred working platform and the VPD Campus Licensing System for their access to MSC.Software products. By utilizing the MSC.Software VPD Campus System, customers are able to use MSC.Software software products at any time, across development sites around the world, thus achieving greater flexibility in utilization of MSC.Software's tools. By helping engineering teams work with the same tools, results and data, the MSC.Software VPD Campus System accelerates the design process and reduces the time and cost of product development.
