SiCortex Promotes John Goodhue to CTO

SiCortex today announced the latest milestone on the company’s roadmap to becoming the de facto global standard in energy-efficient computing. Having spent four years quietly perfecting its breakthrough technology and building world-class products for marquis customers, SiCortex is building out its go-to-market capability by augmenting its first-rate team of talent. With the technology, products and customer proof points in place, the company is poised to deliver on its vision for the most cost-effective, energy-efficient, high productivity computing. Under the new management structure, John Goodhue has been promoted to CTO. Further, SiCortex has expanded its operations, software and marketing teams with the addition of four executives who bring to the company decades of experience in their respective fields. Ann Johnson joins as vice president of applications engineering and customer support. David Kaufman has been named vice president of software engineering. Mark Blessing joins as vice president of marketing, and Kevin Harris has come on board as principal software engineer. The four will work side-by-side with SiCortex’s established team of hardware designers, software architects and computational scientists to help organizations everywhere achieve more results while consuming less power, cooling and space. John Goodhue, CTO With more than 25 years of technical and executive experience in companies ranging from start-up to Fortune 500, Goodhue will apply his broad experience in technology, R&D, computing and networking/communications to oversee the strategic design and implementation of SiCortex’s aggressive technology roadmap. Having worked at SiCortex as vice president of product management and applications engineering, Goodhue is well-versed in the company’s breakthrough HPC technology. Prior to joining SiCortex, Goodhue held a series of senior technical and executive roles, starting with BBN, where he served as a hardware and software engineer, engineering manager, vice president of engineering for the parallel processing business and vice president of engineering for the communication division. He was co-founder and president of Dash, Straus, and Goodhue, and was a founding member and vice president of engineering at Lightstream Inc., which was acquired by Cisco Systems in 1995. At Cisco, John served as director of engineering in the ATM and Core Router business units, vice president of engineering for Cisco's entry into the DSL business, and general manager of Cisco's broadband aggregation business unit. Ann Johnson, Vice President of Applications Engineering & Customer Support Ann Johnson comes to the company with more than 25 years of technical management experience, and will oversee performance analysis and strategic relationships with software partners and scale the customer support team. Prior to joining SiCortex, Johnson built global engineering and partnership teams at ClearSpeed Technology, Inc. and SGI, where she was responsible for the company’s technical relationships, software engineering projects, corporate benchmarking teams and infrastructure. David Kaufman, Vice President of Software Engineering David Kaufman brings to SiCortex more than 20 years of experience in software development and software management. Kaufman began his career as a software developer at MIT and Symbolics, and later served in director positions at Delphi Internet Services and Argon Networks (prior to its purchase by Siemens). Kaufman was also a founding member of American Internet Corporation (acquired by Cisco Systems) and Brix Networks (acquired by EXFO). Mark Blessing, Vice President of Marketing Mark Blessing joins SiCortex with 25 years of international marketing experience at companies ranging from start-ups to billion-dollar corporations. Blessing will spearhead SiCortex’s global marketing strategy and initiatives. Prior to joining SiCortex, Blessing held senior international marketing positions at FAST, SAS Institute, BEA Systems, Computervision, MIPS Computer Systems and Data General. Kevin Harris, Principal Software Engineer With more than 36 years of technology and R&D experience, Kevin Harris brings additional strong software development credentials to the SiCortex team. Beyond holding multiple patents in compiler optimization and parallel programming, Harris has deep experience creating software development tools and managing software teams. Prior experience includes senior level software positions with Digital Equipment Corporation / Compaq Computers and Hewlett-Packard.
