Patrice Duffort joins ClusterVision as Manager Germany
ClusterVision, specialist in supercomputer clusters, is pleased to announce that Patrice Duffort has joined its European sales force as Manager Germany. Patrice Duffort brings to ClusterVision many years of sales and business development experience in the High Performance Computing (HPC) market. 
"Patrice will be a great asset to ClusterVision in further building our success in the German market. His experience in starting up Linux Networx in Europe and subsequently representing Myricom in Europe will be of great benefit in his new role," said Dr ir Matthijs van Leeuwen, Sales Director of ClusterVision. Patrice Duffort comments: "ClusterVision is a major player in the Europan HPC market with particularly good growth potential in the German HPC market. Their excellent references in Germany, including major universities and research institutes such as the Max Planck Institute, form an excellent basis for further growth." Patrice has worked in various capacities throughout Europe and the United States. Patrice began his HPC career with Linux Networx (then called Alta Technology) where he held a number of positions in marketing and sales including Director of Strategic Business Development. His most notable achievement is the creation and development of Linux Networx Europe based in Kaiserslautern, Germany, which he led until mid 2004. Prior to joining ClusterVision, Patrice was Director of Sales for Myricom, responsible for EMEA. His sales successes include contracts with Shell, AUDI, Schlumberger, Total, HLRS, IAP, DaimlerChrysler and many other companies, research institutes and universities. ClusterVision has been active in the German HPC market since 2004 and has installed clusters with many customers. One long-standing ClusterVision customer with several clusters of various size and architecture, is the Max Planck Institute for Biophysical Chemistry. Dr Bert de Groot, Head of the research group for Computational Biomolecular Dynamics, comments: "Since our first purchase in 2004, ClusterVision has repeatedly impressed us not only with their high standard in quality and reliability, in both hard- and software, but also with their flexible and competent handling of reclamations, in the few cases of technical problems we've faced thus far."
