The Server System Infrastructure Forum (SSI) today announced its participation at Intel Developer Forum (IDF) 2010 Beijing, April 13-14, Booth #1090 at the China National Convention Center.
The SSI Forum and sponsoring member, Dawning, Asia’s #1 supercomputing vendor, will demonstrate for the first time the world’s first SSI-compliant blade computing system with low- and high-speed switches. The demonstration will showcase SSI interoperability through a second-generation weather forecast delivery application using Dawning’s Gridview software. Components of the demonstration include:
By taking advantage of the industry-standard SSI ecosystem and SSI-compliant modules, companies can significantly reduce the resources and time required for product development, while offering their customers greater freedom of choice through industry standards and proven interoperability. At IDF 2009 San Francisco, Dawning announced the development and release of the TC3600 Blade System – the first fully SSI-compliant system. The Dawning TC3600, which also complies with the HPCSC (High-Performance Computing Standard Committee) standard, was developed in collaboration with Intel and the SSI ecosystem.
