CAPS has launched its DevDeck offer earlier this year: a multi-level tool suite for many-core applications definition, porting and optimization.
Pioneer in the directive-based approach with its HMPP flagship product, CAPS has been delivering many-core dedicated software tools, solutions and expertise for more than 10 years and helps organizations to adapt the way their applications are developed in order to benefit from the performance of many-core architectures.
This new DevDeck offer aims at guiding users through the whole applications development lifecycle thanks to its proven porting methodology and a state-of-the-art product ecosystem including programming, debugging, profiling tools and scientific libraries.
By starting this collaboration dedicated to the worldwide promotion and sales of this DevDeck offer, both new partners create value for the customers of NEC GPU solutions, bringing an innovative and leading edge technology to end users, supported by the expertise in parallel programming of a growing reputation specialist.
“CAPS, the many-core programming company, is having a proven positive track record in HPC market.” said Benoît Raoult, VP APAC for CAPS entreprise. “Thanks to this collaboration with NEC, a major worldwide player, we will strengthen our position both in Japan and worldwide. CAPS and NEC will now work hands in hands, providing a Global Solution built around software development tools, training, many-core expertise and the best of modern many-core hardware, to continue serving more HPC users and transform lessons learned with them into new success story Digital Manufacturing customers.”
“NEC offers GPU solution through the combination of traditional x86 processors with accelerators.” said Rie Toh, Senior Manager, HPC Division for NEC Corporation. “Offloading computationally–intensive activities from the CPU to the GPU is of growing interest in the HPC arena. NEC GPU solution integrates a large number of NVIDIA graphic processing units which converts the HPC systems into a highly productive and cost-effective hybrid supercomputer. NEC also offers a complete turn-key solution with additional support such as code porting, CUDA Training and CUDA Optimization, which contributes to the higher performance to the HPC systems.”
