The Teradata Database V2R4.1 engine enhances Teradata's ability to offer the benefits of active data warehousing to customers. It provides businesses with improved decision making through new speed and agility in storing, analyzing and interpreting data on consumer behavior and then getting the business intelligence to front-line employees empowering them to better serve the consumers and ultimately propel growth. Teradata has partnered with leading software vendors to offer data warehousing solutions to customers. The following partners have tested and certified that their software is compatible with Teradata Database V2R4.1: Ab Initio, Ambeo, Brio, Business Objects, Cognos, Entreon, Hyperion, Informatica, MicroStrategy and SAS. "We have beta-tested Teradata Database V2R4.1, and it has been enthusiastically adopted by our business partners," said Vickie Farrell, Teradata marketing vice president. "It is simple to install with minimal ongoing management and it powers a range of critical business applications with unmatched speed and accuracy." Teradata Database V2R4.1 is the powerful database engine and primary component of the previously announced Teradata(R) Warehouse 6.1, which is a suite of data warehousing software that also includes several client utilities and Teradata(R) Warehouse Miner. Because of the Teradata Database V2R4.1 progressive technology, a business can combine the data stored in separate locations into one centralized, powerful database engine. This centralization creates a consistent, up-to- date, single view of the business and offers the capability to run critical applications such as demand chain management, customer relationship management (CRM), data mining, customer profitability analysis and e-business offerings.
