CPU Technology (CPU Tech) today announced the appointment of semiconductor sales management veteran Jim Ball as the company's new senior vice president of Sales. Ball reports to the chief executive officer Clay Johnson.
Previously, Ball was vice president of Strategic Account Sales at Xilinx, Inc. He brings with him over 25 years of results-oriented sales and sales- management leadership across multiple geographies and customer demographics.
Ball is joining CPU Tech at a time when the company is moving into a high- growth phase fueled by a substantial backlog from its services and modernization business. In addition, the company's newest product lines: SystemLab PS real-time simulation tools, and Acalis secure processor family, are being well received by customers in both the defense and commercial worlds.
Ball will be responsible for sales strategy and infrastructure as the company aims to establish itself as a dominant force in these new market segments.
"We are pleased to have Jim Ball, a seasoned sales executive, join our senior management team at this critical juncture for the company," said Clay Johnson, chief executive officer of CPU Tech. "Jim's experience and vision will be a driving factor in the next phase of growth for CPU Tech's revenue."
"I'm very excited about CPU Tech's unique technologies that fundamentally change the secure processing landscape and real-time system verification and validation," said Mr. Ball. "I look forward to the challenge and opportunity to help drive our aggressive growth objectives across multiple technologies and customer bases."
