CEO John W. Gibson Jr. to introduce Paradigm SKUA 2008: Paradigm will highlight recent advances in workflow-based exploration and development applications at the 2008 European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers (EAGE) Annual Conference and Exhibition in Rome, Italy, June 9-12. Newest among these advances is Paradigm SKUA 2008, the next-generation subsurface modeling environment to be introduced by CEO John W. Gibson, Jr. during a media event at the conference. "Paradigm is at the forefront of developing effective technologies that fundamentally change the way geoscientists can evaluate the subsurface for prospect evaluation and field development," said Jean-Claude Dulac, executive vice president and chief architect at Paradigm. "SKUA, for example, enables quality geo-modeling that previously was unachievable." Paradigm will demonstrate its latest E&P technology featuring workflows reflecting the latest developments in geophysics, geology and reservoir engineering in its Rock and Fluid Canvas. Presentations will be held daily at the booth and will incorporate topics that include next-generation seismic processing and imaging, multi-survey seismic interpretation, petrophysics, and reservoir modeling with uncertainty analysis through improved well planning and placement. EAGE attendees can view daily live software demonstrations by Paradigm technical specialists which begin each day at 9:30 a.m. CEST at the Paradigm booth (#9340). "The EAGE annual meeting, with this year's theme 'Leveraging Technology,' provides an excellent venue for Paradigm to showcase the latest E&P science and innovation," said Andrew Stein, chief marketing officer. "For 20 years, Paradigm has stressed the ongoing importance of a continuum of integrated technology solutions to advance the energy industry, and this year's showcase continues that record." EAGE attendees are invited to the Paradigm SKUA 2008 media event on Tuesday, June 10, at booth #9340. Guests can also attend an in-booth book signing with Paradigm Research Fellow, Professor Jean-Laurent Mallet, on Wednesday, June 11 at 12:30 p.m. His book "Numerical Earth Models" explores the breakthrough Subsurface Knowledge Unified Approach technology that underlies the Paradigm SKUA 2008 modeling environment.
