Fujitsu Computer Products of America, Inc., a leading provider of 10-Gigabit (Gb) Ethernet switches and innovative computer products, today announced that Info X, a leader in providing cutting-edge solutions for more than 2,000 storage value added resellers (VARs), original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and system integrators, has become an authorized distributor of its 10Gb switches. The Fujitsu XG series of switches provides ultra-low and predictable latency switching, allowing Info X to deliver a cost-effective, scalable and manageable switch to its extensive channel network. "Info X constantly reviews technology that will provide our customers with a competitive advantage in the marketplace," said Tom Carlucci, president, Info X. "The Fujitsu XG switches allow us to connect the 10GbE ports we are already selling with Fujitsu's high-performance switch family, enabling us to provide our VARs with a comprehensive solution." Today's IT environments demand faster connections to support high-bandwidth data transfers, such as video. With the Fujitsu XG series, organizations can leverage ultra-low latency switching of 10Gb Ethernets, which enables IT architects to build more robust and efficient systems that support these technologies. The Fujitsu XG series switch is ideal for enterprise and video servers, storage applications, high-performance computing and iSCSI markets, delivering a compact form factor (20 port) and a flexible network interface (CX4). "Fujitsu is committed to working with organizations such as Info X that can expand our market channels and bring our technology to more companies around the world," said Vic Herring, senior director, new products group, Fujitsu Computer Products of America, Inc. "We look forward to a strong business relationship with Info X, supporting the success of our XG products and further establishing their position as one of the top performing and most cost-effective switches available in the market today."
