Mitrionics, Inc., developer of the Mitrion Software Acceleration Platform and the Mitrion Virtual Processor, will, together with its FPGA Accelerated Computing partner Nallatech, be showcasing their latest technologies at the Intel Developer Forum this September 18-20, 2007 in San Francisco. Leveraging powerful and energy-efficient FPGAs from Xilinx, Mitrionics' Software Acceleration Platform enables application acceleration of up to 100x for new Intel Xeon based servers, while using ninety percent less electrical power than traditional system clusters. Nallatech is introducing new technology that will supply direct high speed access to the Intel multi-processor server platforms through a tightly integrated FSB-FPGA module, 'Slipstream.' Mitrionics will be located in the Nallatech booth #732. "We are delighted to announce support for Mitrionic design tools as part of the Nallatech Slipstream product range," said Craig Anderson, CEO of Nallatech. "Mitrionics is recognized as a leading supplier of application specific C to FPGA design tools. The Nallatech-Mitrionics relationship validates the growing demand for accelerated processing capabilities and further strengthens the FPGA ecosystem for high performance computing users." "Intel and Nallatech are helping build the architectural foundation for broader adoption of FPGA Accelerated Computing solutions. This will have a positive effect on Xeon sales," said Mike Calise, executive vice president and general manager of Mitrionics. "Mitrionics offers the vital applications and enabling tools for these hybrid systems. We're very excited to see these advancements solidify from such an esteemed group of industry leaders."
