ClusterVision announced that it is partnering with NEC HPC Europe to expand each company's High Performance Computing offering. The partnership will target the clustering markets in the UK, Ireland, Benelux and Scandinavia. ClusterVision and NEC will work closely together on the marketing, sales, implementation and support of large-scale Linux supercomputers clusters. Furthermore, ClusterVision will become reseller of NEC's TX7 series supercomputer, a cc-NUMA shared memory system based on the Intel Itanium 2 processor. ClusterVision and NEC will also exchange Linux clustering expertise and work closely together to evaluate and develop new technologies and software for each other's cluster products. "Our partnership with NEC increases our exposure in the clustering markets and it enables us to sell and implement larger cluster computing projects, thus allowing us to rapidly grow our clustering business. Adding the TX7 series supercomputer to our product range means we can now offer both shared memory and distributed memory systems", said Matthijs van Leeuwen, sales director of ClusterVision. Andreas Findling, strategic business manager for clusters at NEC HPCE said: "The cooperation with ClusterVision improves our access to the cluster markets in the UK, Ireland, Benelux and Scandinavia, where the ClusterVision team is well known and has a good reputation in the area of Linux clustering."
