Lumeta has announced today the availability of a Professional Services package (Lumeta Network Assessment) that will analyze and define an enterprise network, allowing organizations to close the security gap represented by having unknown and unmanaged network connections and assets.
Lumeta has developed a five step program to achieving Network Situational Awareness based on over a decade of experience with clients – on some of the largest global enterprise and government networks. Network Situational Awareness is the understanding of a network infrastructure in its totality. It starts with creating a “baseline” level of network intelligence to more closely manage change within the enterprise. The Lumeta Network Assessment professional services package is a quick and effective way to establish this baseline.
“This packaged service uses Lumeta’s proven methodology to deliver a complete assessment so that organizations can understand their network topology and identify all devices on the network, including the type, operating system, and model of network devices,” said David Lennon, Director of Professional Services at Lumeta. “The Lumeta Network Assessment also defines the boundaries of an organization’s managed network.”
The Lumeta Network Assessment provides the following critical information:
- Scope of IP address space in use
- Visibility to the edge of your network
- End-point inventory by volume and type
- A Layer 3 network topology map
- A weighted analysis of network vulnerabilities
At the conclusion of an engagement, clients will receive an executive level analysis of the findings and outcomes, prioritized for remediation, as well as a Structured Findings Report of the network scan results that can feed to IT security management tools such as IP Address Management (IPAM) or a device Vulnerability Assessment (VA) for offline analysis and to increase the effectiveness of those tools.
