Paradigm, the premier provider of advanced petroleum geoscience and drilling technology to the oil and gas exploration and production industry, will be showing exciting new functionalities in its industry-leading Geolog solution for log management, correlation and petrophysics at the SPWLA 2004 show in Noordwijk, The Netherlands, from June 6-9. Productivity-enhancing features, together with the unprecedented integration, interoperability and data management offered by Paradigm's epos 3.0 framework, continue to keep Geolog at the leading edge of petrophysical technology, and enhance its reputation as the most efficient and easy to use system of its kind. The epos 3.0 Synchronized Release, currently shipping to Paradigm offices worldwide, enables Geolog users to extend their petrophysical analysis to the 3D environment by upgrading to Geolog XV. This comprehensive package, part of Paradigm's eXtra Value product line, provides Geolog users with the tools needed to perform mapping operations on petrophysical and geological data and then visualize the results in a unified 3D canvas. The demos at the Paradigm booth will be devoted to the enhanced capabilities offered in the latest version of Geolog, including the advanced Facimage and Geomage add-on modules for image log processing and electrofacies analysis. New features, such as full waveform sonic processing, a multi-well module and interactive 3D crossplotting, will also be showcased. The new mapping and 3D visualization capabilities enabled by epos 3.0 will be demonstrated in the Geolog XV demo. A series of special sessions will be devoted to Geolog Geosteer, a WITSML- enabled tool for incorporating real-time petrophysical data into a geosteering workflow which is both flexible and easy to use. A presentation on performing integrated 3D well design to bridge the gap between geoscience and engineering will also be offered. All of the demos will be performed running on the epos 3.0 integration framework. Dr. Richard Pelling, Geolog Product Manager, said, "We're very excited about the new features and extended capabilities in the latest version of Geolog, and we look forward to showing them to visitors. Our clients will be pleased to see the productivity benefits provided by the epos 3.0-based version of Geolog. We invite them all to get a firsthand look at how the leading product on the market has become even better." Customers and colleagues are invited to visit the Paradigm booth (#4) throughout the show, which runs from June 6-9.
