Liquid Computing's LiquidIQ supports Quad-Core AMD Opteron processors

Liquid Computing, Inc., developer of a new class of scalable fabric computing system, today announced that its revolutionary computing platform LiquidIQ now supports AMD's recently introduced Quad-Core AMD Opteron processors, the industry’s first native quad-core processor, which is now available in the market. The integration of LiquidIQ will provide dedicated communications pipes into each processor to yield significant performance advantages over traditional server implementations. “The Liquid Computing system was designed with quad-core performance in mind, and we have seen some exciting early examples of linear scalability and performance improvements with the core and cache enhancements of Quad-Core AMD Opteron processors,” said Robert DeMartino, Vice President of World Wide Sales and Marketing at Liquid Computing. “We will continue to provide an infrastructure complement that truly improves total customer experience.” Liquid Computing’s LiquidIQ platform provides a unique architecture for optimal quad-core performance, and is at the forefront of a growing trend toward denser computing.
