Terrascale Technologies Introduces Board of Directors

Terrascale Technologies, an innovative developer of next generation input/output (I/O) software, introduced the members of its newly formed Board of Directors. Gautham Sastri, Terrascale’s President, CEO and co-founder will assume the role of Chairman of the Board. Mr. Sastri welcomes the following individuals to Terrascale’s Board of Directors: Gene Kawaratani, Chairman, Entrepia Ventures. Mr. Kawaratani directs Entrepia’s investment in expansion stage IT companies, including Terrascale Technologies. Since joining Nissho Iwai in 1979, Gene has established numerous businesses, including Atlux Corp. Gene Kawaratani also led the US$160 million sale of NEC’s optical communication facility to US Telecom, now Sprint. Mr. Kawaratani also possesses solid expertise in the marketing of technology solutions in Japan. Gene holds an MBA from Columbia University in New York City and a law degree from Tokyo University. Alexander Karakozoff, Senior Vice President, AXS-One. Mr. Karakozoff successfully leads AXS-One’s sales and marketing initiatives. Alexander has more than 25 years of general management, sales, marketing and business/product development experience in multiple industries, including high performance computing. Throughout his career, Alexander Karakozoff has built a solid sales and marketing track record with companies such as PeopleSoft, Oracle, Silicon Graphics and Amdahl. Mr. Karakozoff earned a BA in Economics from Stanford University in Palo Alto, California. Alan MacIntosh, President, Carpu Conseil. Mr. MacIntosh helps leading companies in the wireless industry make decisions on strategy, technology and mergers and acquisitions. Alan has more than 20 years of international business practice, starting in the oil exploration industry and with the last 16 years devoted to the high tech sector. Previously, Alan MacIntosh was a Senior Partner at GSM Capital LP and Argo II, with combined funds of US$460 million, where he led eight investments, including Saraide. Mr. MacIntosh earned an MBA from INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France and a BSc (Honours) in Offshore Engineering from Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, Scotland. Dean Proctor, Vice President of Regulatory Affairs, Microcell Telecommunications. Mr. Proctor develops, advances and defends Microcell’s positions on regulatory and legislative matters, government relations, public policy and related legal, competition and corporate issues. Dean is also responsible for Inukshuk, Microcell’s broadband wireless Internet division. Prior to joining Microcell in 1996, Dean Proctor practiced corporate law at two of Canada’s leading legal firms. Mr. Proctor holds a law degree from McGill University in Montreal, a BA in International Studies from the University of Saskatchewan and is a graduate of Harvard Business School’s Advanced Management Program. “We are pleased to introduce and welcome our new Board of Directors,” said Gautham Sastri, Chairman, Terrascale Technologies. “These gentlemen possess an incredible amount of experience and know-how, with expertise in sales, marketing, finance and legal affairs.
