IRVINE, Calif. -- During FOSE 2003 (April 8-10) being held at the new Washington D.C. Convention Center, Think Computer Products will be demonstrating their latest, high performance ThinkTank IQ(TM) System based on the upcoming AMD Opteron(TM) Processors. The company will be exhibiting in the AMD booth number 1746. FOSE attendees will get a sneak-peek at the company's ThinkTank Q- Cluster(TM) Base DP64-2U prototype, running Dual AMD Opteron(TM) processors for HyperTransport(TM) based, high performance clustering. The cluster node is packed tight and running cool in a specially modified Super Micro 2U rackmount enclosure designed with fault tolerant power, cooling and storage. Each unit is IPMI compliant for remote monitoring and alert notification. The company plans on running SuSE Linux OS and Scyld Beowulf Cluster Operating software in demonstrating what they believe to be some of the best price/performance ratios in high performance computing. The cluster platforms are designed for running data monitoring/analysis/response, streaming broadcasts with "real time" streaming data analysis digital image processing, digital asset management, rapid prototyping, RW modeling/analysis and CAD/CAM. Think Computer Products will also demonstrate the power of the platform as applied to digital film compositing, video effects and rendering using the ThinkTank Q-Cluster and StorCase InfoStation II scaleable RAID sub-system. Think Computer Products developed the AMD Opteron(TM) based ThinkTank Q- Cluster(TM) to provide for the needs of various industries including government, science, finance, medicine, security and others. The company believes the new platforms will prove to be viable in bringing affordable high performance computing power to the small and mid-size business sectors.
