ScaleMP announced that their server virtualization for aggregation solution will be showcased at the 2011 International Supercomputing Conference (ISC) taking place June 19-23 in Hamburg, Germany. ISC is a key global conference and exhibition for high performance computing, networking and storage. At the conference, demonstrations of ScaleMP’s flagship solution, vSMP Foundation, will be given in booth #302. ScaleMP will be offering a custom HPC assessment to those who visit the booth as well as a free t-shirt for those who pre-register to meet with them.
vSMP Foundation creates a single virtual symmetric multiprocessing systems (SMP) by combining multiple commodity servers. With vSMP Foundation, users can harness and aggregate computational horsepower for the most demanding applications and workloads while dramatically lowering TCO by as much as 80 percent. ScaleMP’s custom HPC assessment will demonstrate to attendees how to get an SMP system for the cost of a cluster using vSMP Foundation.
“We look forward to demonstrating our solution at ISC this year and showing attendees how they can scale and simultaneously save money on SMP systems,” said Shai Fultheim, founder and CEO of ScaleMP. “Many organizations with SMP requirements turn to costly proprietary systems or have to rework their application code, which can set them back months. With vSMP Foundation, users can create the exact SMP system that meets their needs at a fraction of the cost of traditional SMPs.”
