Cavium Networks announced that it will demonstrate industry-leading, high performance solutions for networking, cloud computing, 3G/4G wireless infrastructure and network security equipment based upon Cavium's OCTEON II, NITROX and NITROX DPI processor families in booth 1659 at INTEROP, Las Vegas from May 10 - 12.
Cavium's processors have been extensively adopted by OEMs and ODMs developing enterprise, edge and core routers, switches, L4-L7 data center equipment, unified threat management (UTM) appliances, wireless LAN controllers and access points, storage switches, triple-play broadband gateways, intelligent network adaptors, 3G, WiMAX, and LTE wireless base stations and gateways. Cavium Networks has an extensive ecosystem of partner companies who offer market-leading software and hardware solutions for designs using Cavium processors.
Cavium Networks will demonstrate the following solutions:
- OCTEON II CN6880 32-core processor demonstration - first standards-based embedded processor with up to 48GHz of 64-bit compute and over 40Gbps throughput in a single-chip for networking, security and deep packet inspection applications. Actual OCTEON II based customer designs scale up to 1024 cores providing unparalleled performance scalability.
- OCTEON-based IXIA Xcellon-Ultra XTS16 - IPsec encrypted and clear text traffic generator from leading test-equipment vendor, Ixia.
- OCTEON II CN6335 6-core processor demonstration - Cavium will also demonstrate its latest 6 core processor running its TurboDPI software which supports partners applications and helps OEMs easily add DPI support to existing product lines. TurboDPI can simultaneously identify protocols and applications, block malicious or inappropriate URLs, block intrusion attempts and locate virus and malware threats, all with just a single scan of the data stream.
Cavium Networks has an extensive ecosystem of partner companies who offer market-leading software and hardware solutions for designs using Cavium processors. Partner solutions at INTEROP will include Advantech's OCTEON-based appliances, Kaspersky's Antivirus Software and RadiSys' will display OCTEON-based ATCA blades.
