Oracle has announced the latest release of Oracle GRC Controls, part of Oracle Fusion Governance, Risk, and Compliance.
Oracle GRC Controls 8.6 helps lower compliance costs, improve financial governance and enhance operational performance by continuously monitoring automated controls for Oracle and non-Oracle enterprise applications.
The latest release introduces key innovations in user productivity. Unlike other tools on the market that require coding expertise and are focused primarily on IT users, Oracle GRC Controls now enables business users to easily embed control monitors directly into enterprise applications through an intuitive drag-and-drop user interface.
The new release also delivers a sophisticated incident management capability to facilitate the active management of controls and the collaborative disposition of issues across multiple departments such as finance, audit, IT, procurement, and HR.
With Oracle GRC Controls 8.6, business users are better equipped to identify and reduce risk in business processes such as order to cash and procure to pay by actively monitoring business transactions for potential error and fraud, enforcing segregation of duties (SOD) policies across multiple enterprise applications, and maintaining the integrity of controls when upgrading to the latest releases of the Oracle E-Business Suite and Oracle's PeopleSoft Enterprise.
Industry Leading Continuous Controls Monitoring Solution
Part of Oracle Fusion Governance, Risk, and Compliance, Oracle GRC Controls includes Oracle Enterprise Transaction Controls Governor (Oracle Enterprise TCG), Oracle Application Access Controls Governor (Oracle AACG), Oracle Configuration Controls Governor (Oracle CCG), and Oracle Preventive Controls Governor (Oracle PCG).
New capabilities within Oracle GRC Controls 8.6 include:
New attributes specific to Oracle’s PeopleSoft Enterprise that reduce the number of false positives from segregation of duties analyses;
Advances in GRC Controls extensibility that enables the rapid development of sophisticated controls monitoring solutions for multi-application environments; and
Streamlined structure to define models, controls, and incidents to facilitate both high-volume transaction analysis and multi-step forensic investigation.

"We were able to replace a home-grown segregation of duties (SOD) tool with Oracle Application Access Controls Governor (AACG). We were able to start monitoring our SOD policies very quickly and expect to leverage AACG as a pan-enterprise solution in our current Oracle E-Business Suite 11.5.10 instance. As we migrate to the Oracle E-Business Suite 12.1, we expect AACG to be a critical utility to ensure the correct implementation of user roles and privileges throughout our European operations," said Koen Delauré, senior manager, Corporate Applications, Toyota Motor Europe.
“We have successfully deployed Oracle GRC Controls 8.6 in our labs. We strive to be at the forefront in providing a full spectrum of Oracle E-Business Suite services. This solution, added to our close relationship with Oracle, gives us a strong GRC solution that helps to stop cash leakage, and helps prevent fraud, error & segregation of duties (SOD) violations, in a much more comprehensive and efficient manner. Our expertise in delivering Oracle GRC 8.6’s extensibility framework enables our solution to connect and govern critical business application for a true enterprise-wide controls solution,” said Langbert Walker, general manager and global practice head (Oracle), Wipro Technologies.
