The F45 is a 4U (7” Tall) 4 socket high performance server that will support Intel current 8-core 7500 series Xeon processor as well as future generation Xeon 7500 series processors with increased cores and speeds. The F45 with its flexible memory configuration can support up to ½ Terabyte of memory, giving the F45 the memory needed to support higher core count and processor speeds. ION offers the F45 with 10 PCI-express slots, giving the server the I/O bandwidth needed to support 32 Xeon processor cores..
“The F45 is truly a flexible enterprise class server for both HPC and Server Consolidation, giving the user the ability to configure the F45 for current and future needs in both IO and processors, with all the built in management capabilities you would want to manage the unit remotely or locally,” states Paul Scheremeta, Vice President of ION Computer Systems.
“With 32 Xeon processor cores, up to 512GB RAM, and 10 available PCI Express slots, ION's F45 server delivers balanced system performance for large server consolidation efforts and high performance computing,” according to Keith Josephson, ION's Vice President of Engineering.
