ASUS Introduces Serverboard with Onboard Mellanox FDR 56Gb/s InfiniBand Adapters

New Serverboard Platform Enables the Highest Bandwidth, Density, Efficiency and Flexibility for Scalable HPC, Web 2.0 and Converged Data Centers
Mellanox Technologies and ASUS have announced the new ASUS Z9PH-D16/FDR serverboard with integrated onboard Mellanox ConnectX-3 FDR 56Gb/s InfiniBand adapters. The half-sized SSI serverboard provides ultra-high density and increases I/O bandwidth, lowers application data latency, and improves green data center efficiency.
Mellanox’s FDR 56Gb/s InfiniBand I/O solution leads the industry with unprecedented bandwidth (>12GB/s) and latency (<0.7us) performance with PCI Express 3.0 support. Mellanox FDR 56Gb/s InfiniBand I/O delivers the highest level of application performance while reducing system power consumption, making it the preferred I/O solution for high-performance computing, financial services, database, Web 2.0, virtualized data centers and cloud computing centers worldwide.
