Sun Microsystems Strengthens Data Management Strategy

Sun Microsystems today announced Sun Managed Operations for Storage, a new management service that strengthens Sun's ability to provide customers flexibility and choice in their management of heterogeneous disk and tape storage. With Sun Managed Operations for Storage, customers can reduce storage management costs, improve their quality of storage performance and increase efficiency of storage usage. "Your business is your data, and our new storage services are designed to help customers reduce costs and management overhead, optimize IT operations and minimize complexity and risk---thus allowing them greater control over their data and IT strategy," said Eula Adams, vice president, Services, Data Management Group, Sun Microsystems, Inc.
